Apple Releases WWDC Access Invitations for Media

On May 29, Apple sent out invitations to the press, developers, and others to attend WWDC24 at Apple Park. This year’s WWDC will run from June 10th to 14th, Pacific Time, and the theme of the event is “Come on Up”. At the event, Apple is expected to show off the new iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, visionOS 2, and more. YouTube Playables Open to All Users

On May 28, YouTube launched Playables, a free online gaming service for Android, iOS, and desktop users, which can be found by clicking on the “Explore” menu in the YouTube app. Users can find Playables games in the YouTube app by clicking on the “Explore” menu. All games can be played without downloading, and there are currently 75 free games on offer, including favorites such as Angry Birds, Wonderspeak, Cut the Rope, and Masked Castle, with players able to save progress and their own gaming history based on their YouTube account.

The AC-3 codec will no longer be Built into New Versions of Windows

On May 29th, Microsoft published a support document announcing that starting from Windows 11 24H2, the AC-3 codec (Dolby Digital) will no longer be built-in, but some OEM device manufacturers will still build in the AC-3 codec. As a result, if you try to play audio or video with the AC-3 decoder in a media player such as Media Player in Windows 11 24H2, you will be prompted that it cannot be opened. A third-party encoder or third-party playback software is required to play AC-3 encoded audio and video.

BYD Releases 5th Generation DM Technology

On May 28th, BYD held the release of the 5th generation DM technology and the listing conference of Qin L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i. The new generation of DM technology adopts an electric-based power architecture, a full-temperature vehicle thermal management architecture, and a smart-electric integration electronic and electrical architecture. Meanwhile, the energy density of the blade battery has been raised to 115Wh/kg, and it is paired with the second-generation battery direct cooling system, which optimizes the thermal efficiency of the engine and raises it to 46.06%. In addition, according to BYD’s tests, the new system has a NEDC fuel consumption of 2.9 liters per 100 kilometers of electricity loss, and a CLTC electricity consumption of 10.7 kWh/100km.

Call of Duty 21 Trailer Announced and Will Include XGP

Activision Blizzard recently officially announced Call of Duty 21: Black Ops 6 with a trailer for The Truthx Lies. Microsoft has also stated that the game will debut in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, which is expected to officially hit the shelves in late October 2024.

It also replaces the old USB-A connector with a USB-C connector, and features newly designed bass and tweeter drivers that enhance the sound and reduce distortion. The battery life of the new Beats Pill has been increased from 12 hours to 24 hours, and the water and dust resistance has been upgraded to IP67. The new Beats Pill also introduces Apple Find My and Google Find My Device.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to unveil the new AirPods Max 2 at its fall event later this year, and the new headphones may feature a USB-C connector, be powered by the H2 chip, and introduce new color schemes.
